Registered Nurse, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in cardiac intervention and patient care to join our team at Royal Columbian Hospital's Cardiac Intensive Care (CICU) unit.
About the JobAs a Registered Nurse (RN) at Royal Columbian Hospital, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patients, and developing care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team. You will also be expected to teach patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with patients and families to educate them about their health conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of Cardiology component of Post Basic Critical Care course, or post basic High Acuity Course, approved Arrhythmia interpretation course plus one (1) year's recent experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry unit.
- Current Basic Rescuer Certificate.
