As a Comfort Keeper, you will be responsible for providing companionship, light housekeeping, and personal care services to clients in their homes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing companionship and social support to clients, including conversation, reading, and engaging in activities of interest.
  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Providing transportation to appointments and errands.
  • Assisting clients with medication management, as per Comfort Keepers' policy.
  • Observing and reporting any changes in client condition or home situation to supervisor.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication with clients, family members, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (where required).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Environment:

  • Client home setting and automobile.
  • Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend, talk, and hear.
  • Regularly required to reach, and lift up to 12kg (25 lbs).
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity and strength in both hands.

Wages starting at $20.00 per hour.
