Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
    • Assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions.
    • Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to management as needed.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Cover an assigned area(s) on the sales floor.
    • Zones assigned area to ensure a clean and organized environment.
    • Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
    • Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
  • Front End Coverage
    • Assists with Front End coverage as needed.
    • Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
  • Teamwork and Safety
    • Contributes to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
    • Ensures displays and fixtures are secure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Ability to Lift Up to 25 Pounds
