Your role

As Media Librarian, Team Leader, for the Archival Outreach unit and Reference Centre (Libraries & Archives), you will co-ordinate these groups' respective tasks as well as liaise with other Libraries & Archives units and Radio-Canada departments, including editorial teams. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and collaborative skills, who brings a passion for archival outreach, current events and documentation.

Key tasks:
  • Help develop and implement the content posting strategy.
  • Schedule posts and optimize content.
  • Review and recommend new work management tools.
  • Ensure tasks are assigned effectively.
  • Help establish workflows for the Archive Outreach unit.
  • Create and maintain work procedures.
  • Vet content and copy produced.
  • Provide training and follow-up on the various tools.
  • Support team members.
  • Help promote Reference Centre activities.
  • Liaise with Libraries & Archives teams.
  • Liaise with other Radio-Canada departments.
  • Follow up as needed with the Copyright team.
  • Assist with special projects.
What you bring:

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in library and information sciences, or equivalent
  • Three (3) or more years' experience performing related duties
Skills:
  • Broad general knowledge
  • Passion for current events
  • Deep knowledge of Radio-Canada's archival collections (audio, video, photo and text)
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X) and their respective best practices
  • Understanding of SEO best practices
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace
  • MAM research skills
  • Solid command of French and superior writing ability
  • Ability to plan and organize content
  • Ability to evaluate archive-based content against editorial strategies
  • Knowledge of and interest in learning digital tools, including content management systems (Scoop, Medianet, Picto, etc.)
  • Ability to manage stress
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Innovative and creative mind
