Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our Finance team at DeSerres (head office). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex financial tasks, analyzing data, and providing exceptional support to our management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Perform complex bank reconciliations, monitor daily cash flow, and produce daily sales reports.
- Accounting Operations: Code and process supplier invoices, verify monthly statements of account, and issue supplier payments.
- Financial Reporting: Aid in the month-end close process, perform monthly account analysis, and post accounting entries.
- Support and Collaboration: Provide exceptional support to the manager and other team members, and perform all other related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Technical training in accounting (finance) DSC or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an equivalent position.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft, particularly Excel; knowledge of AS400 software an asset; retail experience an asset; bilingualism (English and French); analytical and autonomous; sense of organization and prioritization; able to perform with a high speed of execution; comfortable with new technologies; excellent customer service.
