JOB TYPE: Temporary full-time
SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent peforms the following duties: provides regional coordination for the implementation of decisions in relation to parenteral therapy within the Network; receives and coordinates requests for changes to IV administration pump libraries and ensures follow-up for the development and maintenance of work tools; develops, revises and makes available to Network professionals the tools and references necessary for parenteral therapy; acts as a resource person in parenteral therapy for the Pharmacy department staff and other health professionals; takes part in initiatives aimed at the secure use of medications and actively participates in provincial, regional and local committees; develops recommendations in connection with the safe use of medications within the Network. The incumbent should expect to travel within the province as part of their duties and coordinate various projects related to parenteral therapy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Member in good standing of the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licence to practise in New Brunswick
- CSHP member
- Additional training in hospital pharmacy (master's or diploma in hospital pharmacy) considered an asset
- Five years' experience in hospital pharmacy required
- One year of complex intravenous therapy experience with smart pump programming experience;
- Ability to identify initiatives to improve processes, including the ability to identify recommendations for the improvement of processes
- Good knowledge of and ability to use computer tools and office automation applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook)
- Ability to build productive partnerships and appreciate their collaborators
- Proven ability to analyze and solve problems
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Proven ability to function in a changing work environment
- Proven ability to organize and manage assigned workload
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
