Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, rotating stock, and ensuring that the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  • Assist with the sale of goods by answering customer questions, making recommendations, and processing transactions.
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and ensure that the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines and ensure that all procedures are followed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a grocery store environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
