Role overview
As an Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will be responsible for leading the execution and delivery of one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs), which are composed of multiple cross-functional teams working on a common vision and roadmap. You will act as a servant leader and coach for the ART, helping to resolve impediments, manage risks, and optimize flow. You will also facilitate key events, such as Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect and Adapt workshops. You will work closely with Product Management, System Architecture, Business Owners, and other stakeholders to align the ART's priorities and dependencies with the strategic goals of the organization.
What you'll do
· 10 to 12 years of experience in software development, project management, or related fields, with at least 5 years of experience in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
· Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or equivalent certification, or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of joining.
· Proven track record of leading large-scale Agile transformations and delivering value through ARTs or similar structures.
· Excellent communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders at all levels.
· Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices, such as Lean, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and Value Stream Mapping.
· Experience with Agile tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, or VersionOne.
· Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment, across multiple time zones and locations.
Must have skills
· Experience in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFAndroid.

Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON.
