POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager at our Magino Mine, the Recruiter (Remote) is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for our Magino Mine in northern Ontario. The position will handle all aspects of full cycle recruitment with a focus on proactively recruiting talent. The Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers and the HR team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the hiring needs of the organization.

MAGINO MINE:

Argonaut Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a portfolio of operations in North America. Focused on becoming a low-cost, mid-tier gold producer, the Company's newest gold mine, Magino is expected to become Argonaut's largest and lowest cost mine. Commercial production at Magino has been achieved, which is the first step in transforming the Company as it enters a pivotal growth stage. The Company also has three additional operating mines including the Florida Canyon mine in Nevada, USA, where it is pursuing potential for redevelopment and additional growth, La Colorada mine in Sonora, Mexico and San Agustin mine in Durango, Mexico.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open positions helping management recruit talent for current and future staffing needs. Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available position and the needs of the organization.Partner with hiring managers to create detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.Screen applications and select qualified individuals for interviews.Schedule interviews and prepare interview questions.Lead the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders.Collaborate with the hiring manager and members of the HR team during the offer process.Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and company policies.Attend and participate in career fairs and other recruiting events as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Diploma in Human Resources or related field is an asset.Minimum 10 years' experience in full lifecycle recruitment with experience in mining or heavy industry.Proven ability to effectively network proactively to source talent and build a candidate database for future staffing needs. Experience working directly with hiring managers and senior leadership.Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.Proficient with or ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Can work autonomously on specific tasks to meet deadlinesSelf-directed and able to work remotely.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The work schedule is Monday to Friday working remotely. The role will support hiring for the Magino Mine, which is approximately 88 kilometres northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada. Travel to our mine site one week per quarter will be required.
