As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will be part of a global foodservice and support services company, Compass Group Canada, which operates in Canada and 50+ other countries. Our team caters to students and faculty in schools, colleges, and universities, providing responsible and healthy-eating solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils based on procedures and assigned equipment
• Polishing silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth based on procedures and assigned equipment
• Maintaining the dish and kitchen area, ensuring equipment is clean, in working condition, and complies with safety standards
• Washing worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
• Removing trash and placing it in designated containers
• Assisting in loading, unloading, and transferring supplies, products, and equipment between storage and work areas

Requirements include:

• A valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred but not required
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines preferred
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
