Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Toronto.

Title- Campus Security Associate Guard

Location- Downtown Toronto

Pay rate- $19 - $22 per hour

Salary Increase:(Between 6-12 months to $24 for level 1) (while level 2 increases between 12-24 months to $25 ) upon successful completion of the training.

Schedule - open availability required (continental nights 7pm-7am (All days of the week)

The Role:

The Campus Security Associate role requires a proactive individuals. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, Campus Security Associates play a vital role in our campus security operations. They typically patrol the campus, monitor security cameras, respond to incidents, enforce campus policies, and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors as needed.

Requirement:

  • 2 years of security guard experience or campus security role
  • Open availability for rotational shifts required
  • Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good Computer Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.

Responsibilities:

  • Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
  • Incident response, patrols and inspections of space and equipment
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Security Program to coordinate incident responses within the compound
  • Staff and guest information assistance as required
  • Record activities and incidents via guard tour management system
  • Walk-safe program for employees working after hours
  • Cross training in other security positions as required (e.g. card holder administration assistance, lobby ambassador coverage).
  • Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
  • Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
