About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy and Events to join our team at CN. As a key member of our commercial organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy and business processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with senior executives to support and drive execution management around our strategic initiatives, including our growth pipeline, IT projects, customer-improvement activities, and internal continuous improvement projects.
  • Work with the team to manage the overall commercial strategy and develop business cases, strategic reviews, and investment opportunities.
  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer in reviewing and analyzing financial performance, business processes, and sales and marketing communications.
  • Manage workstreams and materials for regular cadence of internal commercial team business reviews.
  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer with sales and marketing communications and materials for internal- and external-facing engagement streams.
  • Support with budget management and oversee the customer events and experiences team and manage their budget.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of previous management experience, with a strong track record of driving execution and influencing senior business executives.
  • Experience interacting with executives, strategy development, handling multiple stakeholders, leading and motivating teams, and communication and marketing campaign development, execution, and measurement.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Operations Management, with a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, Master's Degree in Business Administration, or Change Management (PROSCI) certification.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, ability to drive execution, and unselfish team player with a strategic thinker and disciplined process manager.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP), Business Warehouse (BW), Microsoft (MS) Office, including MS Project, and CN internal Systems.
