Assist residents with daily living activities, provide emotional and social support, and promote a positive team environment as a Personal Support Worker at Sienna Senior Living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure resident-focused care meets individual needs and expectations.

  • Provide supervision and assistance with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene.

  • Offer cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support.

  • Perform oral and dental care.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Personal Support Worker program from an approved institution.

  • Continuing education and professional development.

  • Experience working with the elderly in a healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and related bedside care.

  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors.

  • Pass a Vulnerable Sector Check (Ontario applicants) or a Criminal Records Check (British Columbia applicants).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS).
