Our client in the Freight Forwarding and Customs industry is actively seeking customs clerk.

They are looking to add someone who has great attention to detail, is meticulous, resourceful and adaptable.

• Hours are 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm (35 hour work week is possible if needed, 1 hour lunch)

Responsibilities

• Reviewing all customs documents
• Data entry of customs documents in system
• Support dispatch with preparation of documents for custom clearances
• Reducing noncompliance to reduce transactional errors
• Resolving related issues
• Ensuring accuracy of information
• Contact clients for missing documents / information necessary for customs clearances
• Set up and release of assigned account shipments
• Arranging for payments
• Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations
• Other related tasks

Qualifications

• Eagerness to learn and grow
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of customs is considered an asset
• Advanced English with a functional French
• Diploma in Supply Chain or related customs program is an asset
• CIFFA Certificate preferred
