Corporate Development Manager

Joining our Americas Corporate Development team means that you will be at the forefront of supporting continued company growth through targeted capital investment. The team's focus includes enabling new data center builds, expanding existing data centers and acquiring data centers from other companies. You will be part of a close-knit team delivering best in class service to the business, our internal partners, investors and customers.

The Corporate Development Manager plays a key role in regional business planning/analysis, strategic initiatives, and new business development research. They are expected to build strong partnerships with all major functions and consult on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and capital investments.

Responsibilities

  • Support capital investment decisions by gathering and modeling assumptions to underwrite business case facts
  • Perform various analyses required by the Americas Corporate Development team in capital investment decision making
  • Responsible for preparing supporting materials for investment approval process and capital investment prioritization
  • Reviews work of more junior team members and provides coaching
  • Drives communication with internal departments (Design & Construction, Commercial Finance, etc.) to coordinate analysis and validate data
  • Comfortable working with and respectfully challenging senior level team representatives to retrieve quality data inputs
  • Assist with identification, evaluation and implementation of opportunities that impact business performance, such as cost and capital optimization programs and business process improvement programs
  • Responsible for the analysis and summary of planned expansion projects, capacity trends, and capital forecasts producing insights via verbal and written platforms in support of overall corporate financial planning goals
  • Support ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Helps host and chair cross functional team meetings working to achieve alignment
  • Supports efforts on internal consulting projects focused on new markets/products, growth initiatives or profitability improvements
  • Effectively maintains and utilizes relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of corporate finance, investment banking, or investment experience required
  • Experience in data center sector a plus

Skills and Attributes

  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, use of judgment and independent decision making
  • Highly disciplined and organized with an analytical mindset
  • Displays sense of urgency with deadlines and drives objectives navigating the cross-functional team through challenges
