Woodbine Entertainment Group is a leading operator of professional horseracing in Canada, with a rich history of almost 150 years. We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Equipment Operator to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative organization that delivers high-quality racing, dining, and entertainment experiences to our visitors. As a Grounds Maintenance Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the WEG grounds, roads, parking lots, stable area, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including cars, trucks, farm tractors, and front-end loaders, to maintain the WEG grounds and facilities.
  • Safely operate equipment with attachments, such as harrows, cutting harrows, floats, lawn movers, and snow blowers.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and storage of equipment.
  • Conduct deliveries and pickups on and off premises.
  • Respond to emergencies, such as fire and water leaks.
  • Complete work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain neat and organized work areas.
Job Specifications:
  • Valid class "DZ" driver's license.
  • Solid knowledge of operating equipment required for maintenance.
  • General knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures and WHMIS.
  • Basic verbal communication skills.
  • Basic interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year driving experience in a similar environment.
  • Qualify for an AGCO license.
  • Ability to work shift work, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Willingness to travel to other tracks as required.
