Zurich is currently hiring for our Claims Training Program in our Toronto office.

Zurich's Claims Training Program is an entry level opportunity for individuals with the drive to become successful members of our claims team. This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in Commercial Insurance You will learn all aspects of handling claims by following Zurich's best practices.

Our Claims Training program will start in June 2024. Training will include onboarding within the local office supplemented with classroom training and on-the-job development during the duration of the program. Your classroom training will provide the technical tools needed in the role. You will also learn how to apply your knowledge to ensure you understand how we "deliver when it matters most." You will progressively build your skills as you are introduced to more complex Claims, case studies and skill-building exercises that help you understand how to work both internally and with our customers.

This position will be closely supervised and work within narrowly defined limits of authority providing a high level of customer service to our insureds and claimants. After an initial period of training, this position will handle low complexity claims. Participants go through a structured 18-month training program that gives them the technical and real-life perspective to understand the "Zurich Way of Claims."

What you bring to the table

Required:


• Bachelors Degree and No prior experience required in the Customer Service area

OR


• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Customer Service area

AND


• Must obtain and retain required Adjuster license

• Be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities and on campus organizations and/or community, public service or similar activities

Corporate internship experience or corporate work experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Time management skills

Microsoft Office skills

High learning agility

Analytical aptitude
