At Ansys, we're seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer II to join our Customer Excellence team. As a key member of our team, you'll partner with customers to engineer innovative solutions, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows, analyzing how to address their requirements using Ansys products and platform.
  • Collaborate with Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features, testing new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing efforts.
  • Contribute to consulting services and conduct introductory and/or intermediate training classes.
Requirements:
  • MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 0 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
  • Education and/or industrial experience related to fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Experience with or specialization in the Electronics Industry segment.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+3, or PhD+0.
  • Experience with Ansys Fluent/Ansys Icepak/Ansys Mechanical is a plus.
  • Experience with application of CFD simulation for package, board, system level modeling is a plus.
  • Experience with multiphysics (e.g., Electro-Thermal, Thermo-Mechanical) aspects of electronics design is a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of time.
