About Us
Under an alliance agreement, Aecon Nuclear has secured a significant contract with Ontario Power Generation for the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Starting in 2023, Aecon will be involved in various phases of the Small Modular Reactor construction at the Darlington site.
Position: Cost Controller
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of projects with project control standards
- Aid in project set-up and budget reconciliation
- Participate in proposal and estimation activities
- Collaborate with internal departments for project reports
- Create and update project status and forecast reports
- Conduct variance analysis and propose corrective actions
- Develop and maintain resource plans
Qualifications:
- Experience in cost control
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Additional Requirements:
- Background in Quantitative, Engineering, or Construction Management
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Nuclear qualifications are preferred
