Temporary Full-Time
Pediatrics, Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre and James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor and Gander

Definition of work:
The physician will join one other pediatrician sharing the workload and on-call duties within the department. Pediatric services at our regional hospital include outpatient clinics, Emergency Department and inpatient coverage, routine neonatal care and attendance at difficult deliveries. Interdisciplinary clinics in the areas of development, behavior, obesity and chronic disease could be developed based on a physician's interests. The position offers a vigorous and varied caseload, and the fulfillment of serving the needs of families in this rural part of the province. The applicant must be willing to work within a regional team with a focus on patient-centered care. The successful physician must work in a team-based, client-focused environment, and partner with all team members to improve employee and patient safety by integrating safe work practices, identifying risk and implementing improvements when required.

Required qualifications:
* Eligible for registration and licensure as a Pediatrician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
* Satisfy credentialing requirements of Central Health
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Hours of work: 75 hours bi-weekly-plus on-call obligations
Salary: $1335 per day for 56 days, then per day or Fee-for-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Dept of Health MCP billings)
