Project Engineer or Technologist sought to design, develop, and deliver high-quality electrical and control engineering projects for North American customers.

As a Project Engineer or Technologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with customers and coworkers to solve operational challenges and support system upgrade projects;
  • Auditing industrial facilities and developing preliminary engineering designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades;
  • Preparing and evaluating tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation;
  • Designing control strategies to optimize performance, and programming and configuring DCS and PLC/HMI applications;
  • Performing system checkout, testing, and commissioning.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or technology diploma in electrical engineering (or similar);
  • Experience in industrial automation engineering an asset;
  • Experience in pulp & paper; mining and/or chemical industries an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English);
  • Registered as a P.Eng/EIT or AScT in British Columbia;
  • Practical knowledge of North American standards;
  • Authorized to work in Canada;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites (typically 5-20%).

Other valued skills include:

  • Consulting engineering experience;
  • Site audit, commissioning, construction, and start-up experience.

Salary range: $70,000 to $100,000, based on a 37.5 hour work week.
