We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at OpenText. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to sales, corporate finance, and senior management teams.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure full compliance with ASC 606, US GAAP, and internal policies and procedures relating to revenue recognition and reporting.
- Prepare audit paperwork, written summaries for large license sales, and participate in quarterly contract review of all license sales with external audit teams.
- Supervise Revenue Recognition staff and timely escalate all unresolved issues.
- Conduct training sessions for sales and finance staff and update and keep current the OpenText Revenue Recognition policy.
- Collaborate with counterparts in the OpenText "Deal Desk" to ensure adherence to US GAAP revenue recognition rules.
- Review SSP studies and assist with SOX compliance.
- Accounting-related university degree and a CA/CMA/US CPA designation.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP Revenue Recognition rules and knowledge or experience with new revenue recognition rules (Topic 606).
- Several years of leadership/management of teams experience.
- Exceptional written communication skills and software industry experience.
- Exceptional relationship building skills with senior management and executive levels.
- Ability to assess business risk and suggest alternatives to sales managers.
- Attention to detail and adherence to SOX processes essential.
- SAP and RAR experience.
