Job Summary: Bakery Associate

A Bakery Associate is responsible for maintaining the bakery area, stocking and selling daily baked goods, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to company values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  • Ensure the department is fully stocked and ready for business.
  • Verify that merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  • Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food handling, product rotation, and expiration dates.
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  • Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines.
  • Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
