We're looking for a Support Porter to join our team. As a Support Porter, you will be responsible for transporting patients, assisting with surgical procedures, and delivering supplies. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
About the Job- Transport patients to and from surgical procedures and other areas of the hospital
- Assist patients with mobility issues, such as transferring them from beds to stretchers or wheelchairs
- Deliver supplies, specimens, charts, and other items as required
- Ensure stretchers are cleaned and prepared for patients
- Perform other related duties as directed by Facility Support Services Management
- Grade 12 or equivalent education required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Competencies in other languages an asset
- Long assignment, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly
- Assignment is approximately 12 months in length
- Hourly rate: $21.69
