Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that offers opportunities to make a positive impact on the well-being of others.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
  2. Develop and implement individualized plans of care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and respecting patients' personal choices.
  3. Provide nursing care according to established policies and procedures, evaluating outcomes and recording observations.
  4. Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  5. Document and update relevant care information to maintain patient safety and comfort.
  6. Operate and maintain equipment related to patient care, ensuring effective functioning.
  7. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities, education sessions, and team conferences.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
  • Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice, including administering medications.
