Position Overview

Autodesk's Entertainment & Media Solutions (EMS) team is on a mission to enable anyone, anywhere, to create incredible digital entertainment. As Director of Software Development for our Flow platform, you will build and run the platform and overall ecosystem for internal and external services to integrate - i.e. architecture, engineering, quality, operations, security, release management, and delivery management.

Your main job as Director of Software Development is to build and support an organization that rapidly, reliably, and repeatedly delivers quality products - with a special passion for the value it brings our customers.

Represent engineering as part of Autodesk's Flow Product Leadership Team, advocating for engineering, product, and alignment to business strategy

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management, design, and other disciplines to ensure strategic alignment, frictionless product development process, and high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee broader initiatives that drive the success of the EMS business objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the team, including budget, resource allocation, investment asks, organizational reviews
  • Be a thought leader, staying informed of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, to ensure alignment across Autodesk to deliver a cohesive and industry-leading customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing an organization of , with managers of managers
  • 12+ years of related engineering and product development experience
  • 5+ years of leading teams of engineers
  • Ability to distill complex ideas and large amounts of data and viewpoints to their essence
  • Positive, can-do approach that inspires collaboration
  • Excellent facilitation, influencing, negotiating, and decision-making abilities
  • Strategic mindset and a passion for promoting engineering to drive alignment, innovation, and contribution to product strategy
  • Experience leading teams in development and operations of cloud platform, services, or products
  • Fluent in current product development methodologies and trends (desktop, cloud enablement, SaaS, platform)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the Media & Entertainment industries
  • Experience leading and building cloud services with high traffic (millions of users)
  • Experience building products with technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience working with data analytics

En tant que directeur ou directrice du développement de logiciels pour notre plateforme Flow, vous construirez et prendrez en charge la plateforme et l'écosystème global pour les services internes et externes à intégrer, c'est-à-dire l'architecture, l'ingénierie, la qualité, les opérations, la sécurité, la gestion des versions et la gestion des livraisons.

Votre principale mission en tant que directeur ou directrice du développement de logiciels est de créer et de soutenir une organisation qui fournit rapidement, de manière fiable et répétée, des produits de qualité, avec une passion particulière pour la valeur ajoutée qu'ils apportent à nos clients.

Représenter l'ingénierie au sein de l'équipe de direction du produit Flow d'Autodesk, en préconisant l'ingénierie, les produits et l'harmonisation avec la stratégie commerciale

Responsabilités

  • Collaborer avec les équipes de gestion des produits, de conception et d'autres disciplines pour garantir l'harmonisation stratégique, un processus de développement de produits fluide et des résultats de haute qualité
  • Diriger les initiatives plus larges qui contribuent à la réussite des objectifs commerciaux des produits EMS.
  • Gérer le fonctionnement quotidien de l'équipe, notamment le budget, la répartition des ressources, les demandes d'investissement, les revues organisationnelles
  • Être un(e) visionnaire, en restant à l'affût des technologies et des tendances émergentes afin d'assurer l'harmonie au sein d'Autodesk pour offrir une expérience client cohérente et de pointe

Exigences minimales

  • Expérience précédente de la gestion d'une organisation de 30personnes ou plus, avec des gestionnaires de gestionnaires
  • Au moins 12ans d'expérience en ingénierie et développement de produits
  • Au moins 5ans de direction d'équipes d'ingénieurs
  • Capacité à distiller des idées complexes et de grandes quantités de données et de points de vue, pour en faire ressortir l'essence
  • Approche proactive et positive qui incite les employés à collaborer avec vous
  • Excellentes compétences en facilitation, en influence, en négociation et en prise de décision
  • Esprit stratégique et passion pour la promotion de l'ingénierie afin de stimuler l'harmonisation, l'innovation et la contribution à la stratégie de produit
  • Expérience dans la direction d'équipes pour le développement et l'exploitation de la plateforme, des services ou des produits infonuagiques
  • Maîtrise des méthodologies et des tendances actuelles de développement de produits (ordinateurs de bureau, activation de l'infonuagique, logiciel-service SaaS , plateforme)

Compétences souhaitées

  • Expérience de travail dans les secteurs des médias et du divertissement
  • Expérience dans la direction et la construction de services infonuagiques à fort trafic (millions d'utilisateurs)
  • Expérience dans la construction de produits grâce à des technologies telles que l'apprentissage automatique et l'intelligence artificielle
  • Expérience dans l'utilisation de l'analyse des données
