Working on a rotation of 8 weeks on/4 weeks off with all travel paid.

Description: Atco Frontec is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Resolute Bay, NU. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
  • Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment
  • Provide input to the Maintenance Coordinator for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
  • Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform
  • Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read drawings and schematics
  • Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
  • Must be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Experience working in a remote environment is considered an asset
  • Strong commitment to follow workplace safety requirements and procedures
