Heavy Duty Mechanic position available at Nutrien, a leading provider of agricultural products and services, requiring a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic License and experience in industrial environments.

Nutrien's purpose is to feed the future with safety, inclusion, integrity, and results as core values. The company operates globally, with over 26,000 employees, and is the largest producer of potash and one of the world's largest producers of nitrogen and phosphate.

The ideal candidate will have a safety-first mindset, be a collaborative team player, and have good communication and interpersonal skills. The position involves shift work and requires the ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely in a mining environment and follow procedures and policies
  • Perform maintenance, inspect, repair, and overhaul of internal combustion, mobile, and portable equipment
  • Ensure own safety and the safety of others

Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic License
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment
  • Positive safety behavior and safety guidance
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment
