Experienced electrical technicians/assemblers sought for production floor in Guelph, ON. Must have electrical experience, mechanical aptitude, and ability to read blueprints.

Job Description

We are looking for skilled electrical technicians/assemblers to join our team. As an electrical technician/assembler, you will be responsible for:

  • Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Visualizing and planning the assembly of parts based on wiring schematics and mechanical blueprints
  • Performing electrical wiring techniques (stripping, terminating, crimping)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Electrical and mechanical experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints, shop drawings, manuals, etc.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of area-specific equipment
  • Learns, understands, and can implement and adhere to all policies, practices, and procedures
  • 5+ years of directly related on-the-job experience
Desirable Skills

The following skills are considered assets:

  • Experience wiring PLCs and robotics systems
  • Positioning, installing, and securing sub-components into various pieces of equipment as per appropriate drawings
  • Previous experience in custom assembly of water treatment systems
  • Operating a wide variety of machinery as part of the manufacturing process
  • Fabricating, assembling, and hydro-testing PVC, PP, and PVDF pipe spools
  • Performing self-inspection to verify that all components are installed, tested, and match applicable drawings and signing QA documentation
