Position Overview

Canada Computers is currently looking for a French/English Translator based out of its Head Office. If you are passionate about computers, electronics, and retail, you'll love working with us

Responsibilities:

  • Translate English texts into French in the areas of marketing, electronics, IT and Retail
  • Maintain/update the content of the French website (banners, product descriptions, policies, etc.)
  • Work closely with graphic designers and editors to create advertising materials for customers (promotions, posters, flyers, etc.)
  • Ensure the translation of all descriptions and specifications of products in store are accurate
  • Translate and update various policies and corporate guarantees
  • Translate various documents for employees
  • Review existing documents
  • Complete the creation and translation of addenda and notice
  • Other related tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in translation or a related field
  • At least three years' experience in translation, preferably in the field of electronics / IT or advertising
  • Fluent in French and English, both oral and written
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop)
  • Demonstrate independence and motivation
  • Good listening skills and problem solving
  • Be able to work under tight deadlines and under minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage priorities and multitask- Have a great eye for detail and be rigorous in your work
