We are seeking experienced labourers to join our Asphalt Paving Division for the 2024 construction season.
Key Responsibilities:- Loading tools from the one-tonne onto the paver.
- Measuring and marking manholes and water valves prior to paving.
- Supplying asphalt to the rakerman as required.
- Cleaning up asphalt piles left by the rakerman.
- Assisting with site cleanup, including cleaning rock piles, sweeping walks and gutters, and picking up garbage.
- Sweeping end joints for the roller operators.
- Raising manholes and water valves with the rakerman as required.
- Hand-tacking joints when necessary.
- Keeping tools organized and accounted for at the end of the day.
- Keeping the one-tonne clean and organized at all times.
- Filling sample bags as required or directed.
- Operating the bobcat if qualified to do so or under supervision of a competent operator.
- Assisting with cleaning or moving barricades for the tack truck driver.
- Helping clean the paver at the end of the day.
- A valid driver's license.
- A strong drive to contribute to the team's success by working with operators and other crew members to perform a wide range of duties.
- A safety-minded and high-accountability work culture.
- A positive and respectful work environment.
A competitive wage with benefits, ranging from $22 to $25 per hour.
