Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Pharmacist to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our pharmacy operations, you will assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure excellent patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate and efficient prescription filling.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Process prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, and hospitals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products, adhering to established workflow models and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate all pharmacy equipment, including registers and computer systems, while maintaining patient privacy and adhering to provincial regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers within the store to provide comprehensive patient care and services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a retail pharmacy environment
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflow models
  • Ability to travel to various locations and work flexible hours
