Based in one of our Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, or Timmins locations,the Mining Construction/Lab Technician will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on providing materials testing, civil engineering, and mining survey support. You will be part of a team that provides civil engineering and survey support on mining and other infrastructure/development projects, working on client-driven rotations.

What You'll Do:
As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
Perform materials testing, including on-site tests, soil sampling, and data collectionPerform laboratory testing of soils and concrete in strict accordance with the applicable standards, including documentation and reporting of resultsUndertake civil construction inspections, including QC & QA monitoring to confirm compliance with approved drawings and contract specificationsBe responsible for material quantity controlCompaction testing of granular material at specified lift intervals using a nuclear densometerPlease note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.

What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will have a college diploma from a Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Survey Technician program or 5+ years of surveying/civil construction experience. Additionally, you should have:
High motivation with results-oriented focusSuperior organizational and multi-tasking skillsUnwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplaceFull Basic Underground Common Core is an assetStrong interpersonal and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Valid, Class G driver's licence
