NOV Canada is actively hiring an Area Supervisor in Estevan, SK who will be responsible for the daily operations of the Field Service department for their designated area. They will prioritize and schedule daily job tasks for direct reports. This position will be based on-site fulltime in Estevan,

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the operations for their designated area;
  • Enforcement of corporate policies and procedures as they apply to the field and shop operations including adherence to all HSE policies, procedures and protocols;
  • Responsible for applicable company procedures and legislation pertaining to safety in the area of operation and implementing company safety policies by ensuring full cooperation and compliance of all employees supervised;
  • Able to come in after hours and weekends for parts or service calls and loading equipment;
  • Enter and approve of all timesheets for field personnel;
  • Develop and maintain customer relations with all drilling operations and oil companies operating in the region;
  • Promote the marketing of Brandt screens and equipment in region;
  • Coordination of all personnel, equipment and transportation in the region;
  • Coordination of shipping and receiving all materials and equipment used by Fluid Control;
  • Submit daily reports to operations manager regarding rigs in area, equipment usage and job progress. Reports must be well detailed and submitted on time.
  • Train personnel to company standards and ensure those standards are maintained;
  • Data entry for Corporate ENOBLA and ESG Reports;
  • Managing and approving of Expense accounts and corporate credit cards;
  • Create customer work orders and submit to Billings department for invoicing;
  • Review and approve all paperwork generated by field personnel in region and forward to the head office on a timely basis;
  • Track field personnel including safety requirements of job;
  • Keep track of monthly vehicle log's and inspection reports
  • Work with warehouse to cover yearly inventory counts.
  • May be required to work out in the field on occasion;
  • Keep up on building and equipment maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):

  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Extensive knowledge of Solids Control Technology is required;
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable oil and gas experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Requirements (Software or Program Knowledge Needed):

  • Microsoft Office & Outlook knowledge is required;
  • Well-detailed daily wellsite reporting is critical;
  • Should be able to navigate, enter and retrieve data into JDE System and TAT 2.0 system;
  • Experience with an invoicing database is an asset.

HSE Requirements:

  • Shop environment orientation (exits, fire extinguishers, first aid & eyewash stations, spill kits, propane storage) and yard environment (building locations, processes));
  • Squatting, bending, reaching, and walking, working from heights (further details to be reviewed on JHA);
  • PPE training for possible noise exposure, mists/vapors, gloves, safety glasses and steel toed boots;
  • WHMIS training;
  • Valid driver's license is required;
  • Fork lift/Loader certification.
