We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Constable to join our team at CPKC. As a key member of our Corporate Risk department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce laws and regulations to prevent and investigate crimes, and maintain public safety through education and enforcement.
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support prosecution and conviction of offenders.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to promote public safety and awareness.
- Participate in emergency response and crisis management efforts to ensure the safety of employees and the public.
- Must be a Canadian citizen.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Must be fluent in both English and French.
- Must have completed and passed basic police recruit training with a recognized police service in Canada.
- Must be a first-class police constable in good standing with a recognized Canadian federal, provincial, or municipal police service.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Justice System and enforcement under provincial statutes is required.
- Community involvement and basic computer skills are assets.
- Must be able to pass a fitness test and possess a valid driver's license for the province in which they are employed.
- Must be qualified in first aid, CPR, and AED.
- Must meet CPKC Police Firearms and Use of Force Standards.
