About the RoleWe are seeking a highly professional, organized, and enthusiastic individual to join our trading and risk team. As a Sportsbook Trader, you will be responsible for managing our sportsbook risk, pricing, and performance, as well as creating and distributing innovative digital content through our web, social, and esports platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Manage pre-match and in-play pricing, trading, and promotion of US and global sports betting products.
- Compile odds for a wide variety of US and global sports betting markets.
- Manage the full lifecycle of Special Markets, from ideation to settlement.
- Monitor market liabilities and manage customer risk profiles on all digital channels.
- Work with analytics teams to investigate market trends and improve revenue.
- Update futures markets on a regular basis and liaise with Customer Services/Payments/Fraud teams to identify fraudulent activity.
- Liaise with the marketing team to suggest, evaluate, and price potential promotional offers.
- Ensure all markets are set up with the correct market limits and reviewed through season cycles.
- Compile and circulate reports to inform stakeholders of business performance and forthcoming activities.
- Contribute to product development and testing to improve customer experience.
- Proven experience in assessing and calculating risk within areas of insurance, finance, or other analytical disciplines.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, business, or other fields with analytical discipline.
- Flexibility to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong sports betting and/or trading experience is highly desired.
- Data-driven with exceptional attention to detail and excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
- Exceptional time management skills and strong all-round sports betting knowledge.
