We are currently hiring Load Planners to join our team in St. John's, NL.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient aircraft loading plans, considering weight and balance restrictions, passenger and cargo distribution, and fuel requirements
  • Collaborate closely with flight operations, ground operations, and maintenance teams to gather necessary information and ensure accurate load data
  • Review flight itineraries, passenger manifests, cargo manifests, and other relevant documents to determine optimal loading configurations
  • Utilize computerized load planning software and tools to generate load sheets and calculate aircraft weight and balance
  • Coordinate with ground handling agents and cargo handlers to ensure accurate and timely loading and unloading of passengers and cargo
  • Monitor and update load plans in real-time to accommodate last-minute changes, aircraft substitutions, and special requests
  • Comply with all applicable aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards related to aircraft loading and weight distribution
  • Maintain accurate records of load plans, weight and balance calculations, and related documentation for future reference and audit purposes
  • Continuously evaluate and propose improvements to load planning processes, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to aircraft loading and weight distribution.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as an airline or other load Planner or in a similar role within the aviation industry
  • Proficiency in using computerized load planning software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate load calculations and documentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as per operational requirements

  • Salary Range: $ $27.18 hourly/40 hours per week
