Demand / Supply Planner

Location: Regina, SK

Where the Chemistry Happens...

We are looking for a Demand / Supply Planner whose purpose is to ensure that the financial and operational forecasts are communicated throughout AP Globally, guaranteeing adequate product supply is available in a timely manner to fulfill APN Canada's customers' needs. Demand/Supply Planning works with supply and manufacturing colleagues to ensure the most efficient use of BASF resources while achieving on time delivery for our customer needs.

Formula for Success: You Will...
  • Participate in monthly alignment meetings with Brand Managers and Commercial Operations to determine 3-year financial and operational forecasts.
  • Maintain forecast in BASF Global planning system - SAP APO DP.
  • Calculate calendarized net demand planning and Canadian manufacturing plan and maintain BASF global planning system - SAP APO SNP.
  • Ensure all master data related to DP and SNP is maintained in APO and SAP Cobalt as applicable.
  • Work with New Product Launch team to ensure forecasts are entered for future launch products in the planning tools 2-3 years in advance of product launch, where possible.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing in Canada to ensure planned timing of production meets both customer needs and BASF US and BASF SE and third-party suppliers supply capabilities.
  • Align with Regional and US Supply Planning personnel at least once a month to ensure Canadian net demands are understood, planned and fulfilled in a timely manner to meet Canadian market and manufacturing timing needs.
  • Manage Canadian Inventory levels in conjunction with Marketing and Customer Service.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field or equivalent experience would be considered an asset.
  • SCMP certification or enrollment is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or agriculture.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to handle multiple PC applications. Experience in SAP essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes and project management principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, communication (verbal and written) and planning skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and make decisions in a dynamic work environment when required.
  • Action oriented, with good problem solving, analytical and math skills.
