**Casual Labourer Positions Available in Public Works**

We are seeking multiple casual labourers to perform manual work requiring considerable physical effort and agility in the performance of a variety of manual construction and maintenance tasks.

**Job Requirements:**

* Grade 10 or equivalent
* Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence
* Annual renewal of Driver's Abstract
* Valid Traffic Control Certificate
* One month of previous experience and on-the-job training
* Sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination to perform heavy manual work in all types of weather

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience/skill/certification in pipefitting, water work, and/or wastewater
* Operating heavy equipment
* Working in riparian areas, including restoration and spills containment
* Water meter reading and/or Class 3 Driver's Licence

**Work Schedule:**

* Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., or 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (up to 40 hours per week)
* Occasional work on Saturdays

**Compensation:**

* C.U.P.E. Local 2011 positions
* Wage of $32.06 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits
