As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading your team to exceed expectations and create lasting positive impressions on each guest. Your role is crucial as you will be the leader, teacher, and role model for your team. You will achieve excellence by making business decisions that focus on upholding the highest standards in guest service while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics for the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the front desk, lobby, and guest entrance are "picture-perfect" for optimal first impressions.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and high-quality manner, with minimal follow-up required.
- Provide direct reports with the resources, direction, coaching, and feedback needed for their continuous development.
- Process check-ins, check-outs, register transactions, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
- Assist staff with problem payments, direct billing companies, and process various payment types.
- Maintain product knowledge of all room types, promotions, rate plans, and hotel and community amenities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in front desk or hotel operations is an asset.
- Proficient in English.
- Tech-savvy.
Working Conditions:
This role may include dayshift, afternoon, or evening shifts, any day of the week or weekend, and occasional night audit shifts. The position requires long periods of standing and may involve lifting and bending. There may be periods of independent work and brief periods of exposure to cold air.
