A tenure-track position is available in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at McMaster University, focusing on the molecular basis of disease and/or therapy.
The Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at McMaster University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of molecular medicine. The successful candidate will establish an internationally competitive research program and forge numerous research interactions and collaborations with colleagues across the University.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Establish a research program in molecular medicine, focusing on the molecular basis of disease and/or therapy
• Develop a prominent, externally funded research program
• Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels
• Contribute to excellence in teaching and research
• Foster collaborations with colleagues across the University
**Requirements:**
• Bachelor's and doctoral degree in chemistry, chemical biology, or a closely related field
• Relevant postdoctoral experience
• Promising record of research scholarship and productivity
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and research
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in post-secondary education or professional settings
• Strong research background in molecular medicine
• Ability to attract research funding for personnel and infrastructure
