General Merchandise Associate Job Description

As a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Canada, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintain store displays, and assist with stocking and sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Cover assigned areas on the sales floor and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Zone assigned areas, move merchandise, and work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk.
  • Assist with Front End coverage and communicate with other associates to ensure floor coverage.
  • Stock merchandise, downstock if necessary, and apply product protection when required.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
