Human Resources Specialist

Job Summary: HR Specialist responsible for optimizing employee capabilities and implementing HR systems in a non-union environment, ensuring fair and equitable implementation of policies and procedures.
As an HR Specialist at Goodyear, you will play a key role in optimizing the effectiveness of the plant organization by increasing employee capabilities and implementing HR systems. This position requires a strong understanding of HR functions, company structure, and Ontario Human Rights and ESA legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership consultation and team member advocacy as a Human Resources representative.
- Ensure fair and equitable implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Audit due diligence to ensure provincial employment standards are met.
- Conduct conflict resolution issues and facilitate open communication between team members and management.
- Develop and manage clearly defined deliverables for HR team scorecard.
- Assist in the development and auditing of Human Resources systems in the plant.
- Develop strategies for improvement in a participative environment.
- Actively support Plant Optimization and Continuous Skills Development.
Requirements:
- 4-year Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 0-5 years' experience in the application of HR systems or education in HR discipline with co-op, part-time or internship experience in HR.
- Knowledge of union &/or non-union environments as well as the Ontario Human Rights and ESA legislation.
- Thorough knowledge of HR functions & the overall company structure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with solid verbal & written communication abilities.
- Solid research & analytical skills.
