Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Physiotherapist, you will work across acute, medical-surgical, and rehab units, collaborating with an interprofessional team to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, including acute, surgical, and rehab patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Work closely with occupational therapists, OTA/PTA's, discharge planners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to provide best-in-class care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (B.Sc.PT) or Master of Science in Physiotherapy (MSc PT).
  • Licensure with the College of Physiotherapy.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated experience working with acute, surgical, and rehab patients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all team members.
  • Physical ability to manage a moderately heavy job.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record.
