As a Test Manager on our Cloud Native vDU team, you will be a lead contributor to the 5G Cloud RAN Test Strategy.

What you will do:

  • Actively engage in defining the architecture and proactively drive the implementation of New Radio (NR) test strategy on the Virtualized Digital Unit (vDU).
  • Define test strategy that improves the advantages of a DevOps infrastructure.
  • Take an innovative look at modeling and test tools used for E2E verification with agile delivery.
  • Drive the definition and implementation of lab configurations for integration and test.
  • Leverage the ability to deliver a scalable and resilient product on a Cloud Native Platform
  • Develop a test systematization and implementation for a stand alone and hybrid network environment.

Technology:

  • Full-stack virtualization of the 5G NR CU and DU
  • CRAN & DRAN configurations
  • COTS HW including L1 accelerators where needed.
  • Cloud-Native infrastructure based on ADP framework for SW based on micro-services and containers.
  • Open interfaces (e.g. F1, X2/Xn, A1, 01, LLS...)
  • Architecture for automation, AI and machine learning
  • Band support: Sub-6 & Mid-Band AAS to start with, High-Band in the future.
  • Radio support: Potentially all Ericsson NR capable radios with the use of eCPRI or CPRI converter

The skills you bring:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
  • Experience with Cloud Native product integration and test
  • Minimum of 2 years in a RAN Test Manager role
  • Integration and test experience of NR functions
  • Cloud Native core design and test principles
  • Good knowledge of Wireless Communication system
  • Critical thinking, innovative ideas and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-site Team working skills.
