We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
About the Role
- Assess and plan resident care, implementing and evaluating treatment plans in collaboration with medical professionals and care teams.
- Provide leadership and guidance to healthcare staff, promoting a culture of quality care and resident-centered practice.
- Administer medications, apply dressings and treatments, and maintain accurate and complete documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with management and healthcare teams to promote communication, compliance with policies and procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
- Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments an asset.
- A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
