Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Manager to join our team at New City Contracting. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Site Administration: Manage site administration duties, including reviewing and submitting employee time sheets, completing and maintaining daily logs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and that good housekeeping practices are observed and maintained.
  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety plans, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure that all employees are using personal protective equipment properly.
  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of construction staff, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, project engineers, and landscaping installers, to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned with project progress.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues and emergencies, and implement corrective actions to prevent future problems.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Site Manager or equivalent role.
  • Degree or diploma in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Position-relevant bonding and certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to develop and implement safety plans.
  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands, and delegate tasks to team members as needed.
