The Role As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing assessments, consultations, and interventions to residents to maximize their physical function and promote independence and safety. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop individual treatment goals and provide treatment and/or teaching to residents and caregivers. Key Responsibilities • Provide occupational therapy assessments, consultations, and interventions for residents • Develop and implement individual treatment plans based on resident needs and goals • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans • Provide education and training to residents, caregivers, and staff on independent living skills and occupational performance • Supervise assigned support staff and students • Evaluate the effectiveness of direct clinical care and education provided to residents and caregivers Qualifications • Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy • Two years' recent acute or community experience with a geriatric population • Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - BC (CAOT-BC) About Fraser Health Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
