Job Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for assisting pharmacists in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving prescriptions from patients, verifying completeness and accuracy, and prioritizing prescriptions according to 21st Century Guidelines.
  • Performing computer functions as directed by the pharmacist, including data entry, price checks, and patient information updates.
  • Filling prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist, selecting appropriate products, and performing accuracy checks.
  • Maintaining inventory control, assisting with ordering and stocking of medications and supplies, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Providing general housekeeping and clerical support, including filing prescriptions and administrative documents.
  • Assisting with OTC operations, including ordering, stocking, and cashier duties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or related field.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
