In this full-time role, MediSystem is seeking an operations pharmacist to join their devoted team serving long-term-care facilities. The operations pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring all prescriptions are dispensed according to provincial regulations and company policies to deliver top-notch pharmaceutical care.

  • Align with company policies and regulatory requirements to enable pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.
  • Train and supervise dispensary staff as needed.
  • Assist in setting and meeting financial goals.
  • Help in managing pharmacy inventory.
  • Maintain a professional image and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Practice pharmacy within the College's Scope of Practice and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper receipt and recording of narcotics.
  • Document and bill pharmaceutical interventions/services accurately.
  • Minimize medication incidents following company procedures.
  • Participate in continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Document patient counseling as per regulations.
  • Ensure accurate completion of third-party processing and billing.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Comply with all federal and provincial pharmacy regulations.
  • Promote an inclusive and welcoming workplace environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed with the ON College of Pharmacists.
  • Availability for on-call services as needed.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a pharmacist.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to customer service.
  • Proactive, organized, and great problem-solving skills.
